Chula Vista Animal Care Facility is dedicated to promoting the concept of spaying and neutering pets for all responsible pet owners. We recognize that our region, including San Diego County, faces a significant challenge with pet overpopulation. By committing to this practice, you can become part of the solution! Help reduce the number of animals entering shelters every year by choosing to spay or neuter your furry fris.
Unfortunately, our scheduled spots for spaying and neutering procedures are currently filled. However, we encourage you to keep checking back as more openings may become avlable in the future.

Visit our facility at 130 Beyer Way, Chula Vista, CA 91911 during business hours Tuesday-Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Ensure you are a resident of Chula Vista, National City, Lemon Grove, or Imperial Beach with residency proof like ml or utility bills.
Carry your government-issued ID along with the necessary documentation showing your address.
Only the person completing the consent forms should be present for identification and confirmation purposes.
No income restrictions apply; however, you must reside in one of these specific areas: Chula Vista 91910-91915, Imperial Beach 91932, National City 91950, Lemon Grove 91945, or a part of Bonita 91902.
Starting May 20th, all spayneuter appointments will include DAPP vaccines for dogs and FVRCP vaccinations for cats at no extra cost. This covers distemper, adenovirus, parvo, parnfluenza for dogs and viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia for cats.
Requirements:
Space Avlability: Apply in person at Chula Vista Animal Services during business hours.
Residency: Only residents of the specified areas Chula Vista, National City, Lemon Grove, Imperial Beach are eligible.
Proof: Provide government-issued photo ID along with residency proof documents under your name.
Do not bring pets for this initial paperwork process; they will be checked in during a later stage.
For Chula Vista residents with dogs, you must license them through DocuPet before the surgery drop-off.
The cost of spaying or neutering:
Dogs: $40, including surgery, pn medication, e-collar, rabies vaccination, license Chula Vista, and microchip. Additional fees apply for larger dogs weighing over 75 pounds $75-$125 and are subject to specific dates that will be announced when avlable.
Cats: $20, including surgery, pn medication, rabies vaccination, and microchip.
This clinic serves only dogs and cats; please do not attempt to bring rabbits or other pets.
Update on TNR Services: Trap-neuter-return services for community cats in Chula Vista, National City, Lemon Grove, and Imperial Beach are now avlable from July 18th starting at 9 AM. Limitations apply: only one cat per resident due to high demand; please eml [email protected] for litters.
Chula Vista Animal Services offers Trap-Neuter-Return TNR services free of charge to residents within the designated areas:
Eligibility: Only cats who are part of known community colonies can be serviced.
Trap Requirement: Cats must come in a covered e trap; rental traps are avlable at our facility with a deposit of $60-$100, which will be returned once the traps are returned undamaged.
Drop-off Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM at the green receiving gate at our facility.
Consent Process: Upon drop off, you'll complete a surgery consent form agreeing to pick up your cat between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM following their procedure.
Post-Surgery Instructions: You will receive guidance on returning cats to their natural environment post-surgery.
