As the editor of《上海畜牧兽医通讯》, I've spent nearly two decades in a world where pigs have become my constant companions. I've had the opportunity to work closely with mother swines, piglets, and fattened pigs, each requiring unique attention and care. The journey has been challenging yet immensely rewarding.
I vividly recall those early days when discussing my profession was considered an embarrassing topic of conversation. When asked by relatives or fris about what I did for a living, I would jokingly refer to myself as working in a 'milk barn'. But the tide has turned. Today, rsing pigs is respected and celebrated as a noble profession.
Mother swines have been a significant part of my work experience. Their care involves not only dly feeding but also monitoring their health status closely. It's vital to detect signs of illness early on to ensure that they can return to optimal conditions for breeding or fattening purposes. I've learned through experience the importance of providing them with a clean environment and adequate space to move around freely.
One of the most challenging aspects of my role is ensuring the right balance in their diet. Different stages of their life require different nutritional needs. Feeding them the correct amount of grns, proteins, vitamins, and minerals is essential for healthy growth and development. Balancing these needs requires a deep understanding of pig physiology and behavior.
As pigs mature into mother swines, they play an integral role in our agricultural system. Their milk serves as sustenance for their offspring during the early stages of life, ding in their survival until they are weaned off to become part of the breeding or fattening program. I take pride in watching them nurture their young ones with care and dedication.
Over the years, technology has introduced new methods and tools to improve our practices. Automated feed dispensers have been integrated into our facilities for more consistent feeding schedules, and digital health monitoring systems allow us to track pigs' vital signs remotely. However, it's important not to lose sight of the touch. The relationships built between farmers and their livestock are invaluable.
The evolution in public perception towards agriculture, particularly pig farming, has been fascinating. There is now a growing awareness about sustnable agricultural practices and animal welfare. This shift has brought about a new sense of pride and respect for our work. I'm proud to contribute to this industry that plays an essential role in providing food security and economic benefits.
In , my journey with mother swines has taught me perseverance, responsibility, and the importance of continuous learning. It's not just about caring for animals; it's also about nurturing a community that values our efforts and supports sustnable practices. As I look back on this chapter of my life, I'm filled with gratitude and a sense of accomplishment knowing that together we've contributed to the global food supply while respecting ethical farming standards.
This is the story of a life dedicated to caring for pigs, where every day brings new challenges and rewards, reminding us that in the world of agriculture, there's always room for growth and learning.
